Antique Fountain

I'm quite happy to show you this game-oriented prop I've been working on as a personal project! This is an asset I designed a while ago, but due to my daily work and the fact that it ended up becoming a bit more ambicious than expected, I never had the chance to finish it until now.

The goal in this project was to make an antique fountain fully optimized for video games, applying all the knowledge learnt along my years of experience in the industry. The asset was started in 3DsMax for a first blockout pass to make sure the shapes, general style and proportions were working nice all together. Then, I took this blockout to ZBrush and I started sculpting all the stone and rock details, along with the tiles. Once the high poly was done, I alternated between Max and Maya to make all the low poly and UVs for final bake in Marmoset. All final textures were done from scratch in Substance Painter except for the ground in the turntable and the creeper leaves, which were taken from Megascans. All items added for the presentation were done with the use of different techniques, including fluid simulation, particles animation and speed tree generation, as well as a bit of shaders work in Marmoset to make sure everything looked realistic enough.

Hope you like it! :D
